We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with experience in GST (Goods and Services Tax) filing to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting expertise, solid knowledge of GST regulations, and a strong ability to manage financial reporting and compliance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- GST Filing & Compliance: Oversee and manage the timely and accurate filing of monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns, including GSTIN registration, reconciliation, and payments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
- General Ledger Management: Ensure accurate general ledger entries, adjustments, and reconciliations, ensuring consistency across all financial data.
- Tax Compliance: Handle corporate tax filings, ensure tax compliance for GST, income tax, and other indirect taxes, and resolve any tax-related queries or issues.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure all financial data and tax returns are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Supervise and manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring proper recording and timely payment/collection.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and provide insights through financial analysis and variance reporting.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and optimize cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and financial flexibility.
- Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Implement and maintain internal controls, identify areas for process improvements, and ensure financial processes are efficient and accurate.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior accounting staff and provide support in their professional development.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, CA, or other accounting certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in accounting, with at least [Y] years in a senior accounting role. Hands-on experience with GST filing is a must.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in GST filing and compliance (monthly, quarterly, and annual returns, GST audit).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with GST reconciliation processes and the ability to address discrepancies between purchase and sales ledgers.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
